When dealing with critical applications, it's vital that technicians have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to perform their jobs at the highest level.

Prime Power, the Southeast's #1 provider of emergency power services, training, certification and education, is proud to announce its next Apprenticeship Program for aspiring emergency power supply systems (EPSS) and building maintenance technicians.

Participants in the two-year program will acquire and develop a high-demand skillset in the EPSS industry while employed and earning a living. Our emergency power apprentices learn from some of the most knowledgeable and respected leaders in the industry in a supportive environment.

When the program is complete, participants will have earned certifications and hands-on experience that will help pave the way for a well-paid, high-demand career.

The Details

Duration: Approximately two years, but completion based on how quickly the apprentice attains set skills.

Credentials attained: EGSA Apprentice or Journeyman Certification

What does it mean to be EGSA certified? As part of its commitment to advancing professionalism within the on-site power industry, EGSA has created the Electrical Generator Systems Technician Certification Program. Through rigorous testing, the program identifies those power and emergency power technicians who have a broad knowledge of electricity, mechanical and electrical components and the interaction between them and are proficient in the installation, service, emergency power technician, maintenance, and repair of on-site power generation systems.
